We did our first professional photo shoot today with Melissa Long Photography! These are my girls (Destiny, Desire' and Deja) I took these pictures my camera while Melissa worked her magic. The girls did a great job and after the photo shoot I fulfilled all of my bribes for candy, ice cream, two bedtime stories, yada yada...We can't wait to see the professional pictures!

How To Fix Your Wrinkled Tutu
Welcome to our blog. This is my first instructional post and I learned a lot along the way (like how I should have taken these pictures on a black background because the tutu is so light). Nevertheless, I hope this helps out someone who wants to make their tutu beautiful again! So anyway, you purchase a beautiful tutu and after wearing it, it looks horrible. Here are a few tips to get make your tutu cute again :)
Tulle (the fabric that tutus are made of) has a mind of its own. The wrinkling of the tutu is due to static cling. But never fear, there's a solution for this. Let's get started. You will need the following:
- Spray bottle
- Liquid fabric softener
- Water
- and of course your wrinkled tutu
First, take your spray bottle and combine 1 cup of warm water to 1/2 cup of fabric softener. Shake it well. Next spray your tutu well. You don't need to make it dripping wet but spray it well.
Now take your fingers and comb through the tutu all around. After you are done, turn your tutu inside out and comb your fingers through again.
Hang your tutu to dry!
And TADA! Your tutu is cute again :)
More tutu tips:
- To prolong the life of your tutu, always hang up your tutus or store them flat. Never stuff it in a box or drawer.
- Another method to get wrinkles out of your tutu is to hang it in a bathroom with a hot shower running for 10 minutes or so. After steaming, run your fingers through the tutu and hang to dry :)
